Saudi Water Forum 2024

Water security and sustainability are some of the most important and main concerns that are being examined and discussed internationally. It stands as a major challenge facing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, given the scarcity of water resources and the continuous population growth. This leads to an increasing and accelerating demand for water for all purposes.

Additionally, economic growth, the improvement of quality of life, and the accomplishment of life quality programs contribute to the growing demand for water resources and the necessity to fulfill it despite the limited resources.

Given the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Deputy-Ministry of Water’s role in conducting studies, managing research, and setting up strategies to resolve such challenges, the Saudi Water Forum was adopted. Following the achievements of the forum in previous editions and its recognition from the Saudi Council of Ministers, as well as high-level recognition from international entities.
